Growtastic --A Better Way -- Nature's Way!
Primary feeding zone -- the upper 12 inches of the Rhizosphere.
One half the mass of most plants is
located below the soil. Deep roots are for water and stability. Feeders are the smaller, hair like roots near the surface.
Most PGPR are
anerobes, requiring oxygen, near the surface. There they find and digest nutrients and minerals, transporting them to the roots
of the plants.
Plants attract PGPR by exuding sucrose through their roots. The microbes
need the carbon in the sugars to create new cell walls during reproduction.
PGPR establish conditions that enhance plant growth and health. The correct PGPR out-compete
pathogenic organisms resulting in a healthier plants. Some PGPR also have pesticidal properties.
Modern gardening and farming techniques with heavy dependence on removal of plant and bio-flora diversity, selective introduction
of limited plants, removal of dying and decaying vegetative and animal matter, use of inorganic fertilizers and pesticides, use of
sterilized potting soils and mechanical tilling reduce the populations of beneficial microbes.
Two products provide the most effective PGPR: Growtastic's EPG for most green leafed plants and Vector+ for sods, grasses and monocots.
Nature populates the Rhizosphere with Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) to feed
the plants, defeat pathogens, and provide bio-chemicals vital to plant growth, health and yield. Where man takes the lead, he
upsets Nature's balance. PGPR vital to a plants natural, healthy and thriving condition are eliminated. We return
the soil closer to Nature's original design.
